It is truly incredible that the outcry for gun regulation is going to be the result of the shooting in Sandy Hook. Then again what can we expect from a liberal left mentality that permeates the media. Having no shame in using a tragedy for their political purposes. Piers Morgan, a news commentator for a once major cable news network, CNN. Said without shame that the most dangerous problem is, Guns, Guns, Guns. I would not respectfully but vehemently disagree. The most dangerous problem in America is, his Mouth, Mouth, Mouth. Along with others of same like mindedness. Now that I have expressed the thoughts of many. Should we now go and ignore the first amendment to the constitution. Or interpret it in our own way. Changing what fits into the way we think it should be.
There is no doubt that the Constitution has been bent, twisted and adjusted to the whims of those who think they know best what is good for others. However: it is limited and done in the framework of the document. It is obvious that Mr. Morgan has no understanding of the document and the Bill of Rights. That guarantees the rights stated within that well thought out and tested document. How would we expect him to. After all he is native born of a country that has no guarantee that Rights are guaranteed. The part of the world that he comes from still reveres a monarch or two. He had the gall to exclaim that Americans should be ashamed. Well, I think that where he comes from they should be ashamed that they have neither a Constitution or a Bill of Rights that insures peoples rights. Including free speech. Oh there is an English Bill of Rights but it is one that gives says more about what the government can do to you. Not what they can't do to you. How about that Mr. Smarty English Irish retread.
The idea that he should question the wisdom of those who wrote the document after living under the tyranny of King George is outrages. The men who authored the document are giants in the history of the world. He is but a sniveling twit that would be first to cry out please help," Someone is hurting me". "He has a gun and I don't". This is a man that showcases for the crowd that lives in a bubble of protection that is provided by people who have guns. Big guns, with capacities that they think only they should have. To protect them from the threats they may or may not be confronted with.
Let me enlighten Mr. Morgan to his claim that guns that shoot multiple times many rounds of ammunition are not necessary. No, they are not. But they become necessary when you find yourself out gunned. Thanks to botched programs and policies of government agencies. We now find ourselves facing an entire culture right across our borders that have automatic firearms that include high capacity weapons. About 1800 at last count were let to "walk" across the boarder by the ATF and FBI. The people in those border states do not have the luxury of having the police in yelling distance away. The police are many miles from where they are sometimes needed. Those back country ranches and farms can turn into war zones quickly. Do you think that is a problem. Mr. Morgans philosophy is quite common in European thought. When it comes to defending themselves and avoiding dealing with protagonists. " They believe in feeding the beast hoping it will eat them last". In this case it would be giving the beast the ability to eat a victim because they are easy prey.
Mr. Morgan is naive and wrong headed. The main reason the founding fathers provided the right to keep and bear arms is so that no government could terrorize the people. Which with the help of people like him are bent on doing by taking away that which the Bill of Rights guarantees. The President seemed to know the need for being equally or better prepared for battle when he exclaimed at a political rally. That if his political enemies, " bring a knife we will bring a gun". That is why people need what you so sorely think they should not have. If you don't like it lump it and go back to where you came from and stick your nose in some plum pudding and not in our business.
